EXPRESSÃO GRÁFICA COMO ÁREA DE CONHECIMENTO: UMA ANÁLISE A PARTIR DOS MEIOS ACADÊMICOS E OS SUJEITOS
This work aims at investigating knowledge construction within the field of Graphic Expression (also known as Graphic Design or Technical Drawing) through the relationship between academic structures and its subjects. In this research academic structures are Departments, Research Programs and a Teaching Association; and the subjects are professor’s curricula. This work is a case study that seeks to understand relations between subjects and context. The results show that Graphic Expression does not have a well-defined identity and that having specific academic structures dedicated to the field does not result in knowledge production directed to its themes.
